Can't Play AVI Files

nasttcar

Senior member
Prior to upgrading my computer to Win XP Pro I could play .AVI files. I can no longer play them and Windows Media cannot locate the correct codec.

What do I need to do?

Thanks,

Try

DivXPro5.05

or

K-Lite Codec Pack 2.03

or

XviD.Root.24.02.2003.1100

I think I have all 3 of those installed. And do you have Windows media player 9 update installed with the codec pack?

Dont DL;
official DivX Codecs
or
K-Lite Codec Pack
or
Tsunami Codec Pack
or
Official Xvid Codecs

They are all crap. Not very stable, use`s loads of CPU time, just plain crap.
ffdshow is the best. 100% stable, fast, uses little CPU time, compared to the others.
