can't play any video files, only get audio. help

i'm having trouble watching video files on my computer. i've used different players, wmp9, mpc, zoom player and all have had no luck. when i play avi, mpeg, or even streaming video. i get the audio, and the screen will resize to what it should be, but none of the video will actually show. there is no error message, it just wont show video. i just recently installed the klite codec pack and i'm assuming that maybe that might have messed things up somehow. i've uninstalled the codecs, reinstalled, but still have the problem so i was just hoping for some help. thanks for your time and thanks in advance.

probably not codec or program then. must be video card or its driver. maybe its settings even. make sure ur monitor is set as primary monitor/display.

Sounds like you have set the monitor as the SECONDARY display device...ensure its set as the PRIMARY........or something else (Net-meeting for instance) has already laid claim to the overlay stopping anything else using it.
