Installed a DVD rom drive in my PC
Windows XP

I get this error message when trying to play a DVD
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

I did an updated driver on my video card and no change.

I did a device manager device and found the following:
nvida WDM Video Capture (universal) - yellow alert message.
"the device could not start"
unisntalled and reinstalled the driver. get teh same error message:
"This device could not start (Code 10)"

Help Please. Thanks !

Download and install jet audio much easier. WMP sucks with so many restrictions on dvd playback its not funny. Jet Audio is a much better media player that handles many more formats than WMP.
