Can't partition drive in XP Home???

My father formatted his computer and reinstalled windows and some programs. He wants to partition the drive now so his important files are somewhere else. For some reason, we can't get the drive to partition under disk management. There's no options or anything. Is this another way to do this or do we have to format again and partition from there?

Assuming you only created a single partition when you installed XP, then that one partition is your System partition, and XP won't let you modify a System partition.

You need a third party app, like Partition Manager.
