I have a 1.2ghz Athlon MP and I am using the Epox 8k7a and I am not really able to overclock at all. It doesnt seem to like any FSB increase. I have Spreadspectrum disabled, is that supposed to be enabled? Also the most annoying this is if I try to set the systems settings to "fast" from normal in the bios. This always causes my computer to restart for no apparent reason. My tempature isnt too high at all, its like 37celcius and my Voltages are right on too, they are within .05 of what they should be. I am stumpified. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and I do have all the core voltages at default.

i dont have that motherboard but if you try to o/c and cant then you should try to increase the vcore voltage and memory voltage too,,then see what happens....any better..worse..spread sprectrum is for electric interference....leave it disabled

edit:....be careful with that athlon mp...i dont know what defalt voltage is ....do you???

You don't need to increase the voltage at all. The chip doesn't need it, even at 1.4Ghz. What you need is the latest BIOS. I had the same thing happen to me on the same board with the same chip. The new BIOS will fix it and let you change the FSB to your heart's desire.

I just downloaded and installed the bios that added SSE and Athlon MP support. Its the latest one offered by epox for official download. Something like 8/24. I am still having the problems after this. What really bothers me the most is my computer just randomly restarting when putting the system preformance to fast in the bios menu where all the memory settings are.
