Can't overclock E6300 with 7600GT installed

Hey,

for some reason I can't overclock my E6300 ever since I've had my 7600GT card installed. I had a good
overclock using my AGP card, but now not a single Mhz without instability.

Does anyone know why this is or have a workaround?

Cheers,

madad

I have the PCI-E locked at 100Mhz. Tonight, however, I am going to decrease the PCI-E bus speed by the same percentage as the FSB overclock and see if that has an effect.

Ok, I tried booting with an agp card installed as well, I tried reducing the PCI-E bus as I overclocked and and I also tried deselecting stuff like spread spectrum and PCI-E downstream pipeline, nothing works. I need a new board!

Nope, not got anything like that in the BIOS. The only auto setting sets the FSB and PCI-E bus to stock speeds and won't let you change them individiually.

What does your +12V rail(s) look like under load?

dont know but i made sure psu was up to it - upgraded from a generic 350w on same board with same prob to try and solve this but no joy - it looks and feels like some kind of conflict - ive overclocked loads of pc`s before and this is just strange
