well, in a nutshell, for the past week i've been trying to access my e-mail (outlook express) and i keep getting prompted for my password. i type in my user name and password and it tries to authorize but always pops back up again. i can't get my emails, send drafts, or do anything for that matter. the thing that really pisses me off about this is that i never actually told it to prompt me for my password - it just randomly did it one day after i was in safe mode and tried to open it. i'm thinking maybe there are corrupt registry files causing the dilemma... however i'm not sure. any suggestions?

check that all of your acct settings and server settings are correct if they are and you still cannot connect you may have to get another client or your mail server is having problems.
good luck mato

Call your ISP and get your mail password, and key it in. :)

An easy test of your password would be to set up another mail client and confirm your password is what you think it is. If so, *then* Outlook Express has a problem, but right now it just sounds like the word you're typing in isn't your password.

I've seen this happen a couple of times and deleting the account and recreating it has always fixed it.
