Hi,
always thought Tbird 1 gig and A7V is great for ocing, but...
So, here are my specs, hope anyone can give me the kicking hint:
Athlon 1 Gig
Asus A7V (1005c)
Asus V7100 (running at 215/205)
Fast DV GO (IEEE...)
Soundblaster Player 5.1
Hauppage TV-Card
IBM dtla 307045 (ata 100)
Chrome ORB (i think not authentic orb)
The first thing I did, I catched pencil and connected the L1 bridges...set the multiplier to 11 ->
Ok my system got 1100 mhz without increasing the voltage (everything stable), one day I got no video signal, the machine boot up but LCD remains black :-((
I activated the jumper free mode and standart settings, yeah now I can see again...
ok thought maybe have to draw again with the pencil, but the multiplier won't
change anymore..
another thing wich I think is not good (when read the threads then it is damn bad) Asus PC Probe and Sisoft Sandra show me a Vcore of 1,82 <- is this standart ??? and the temperature of the cpu is shown to me as 64 C....yeah when you guys talk about 42 C I could start to cry...

Appreciate any help !!

ähm, no one who got me ??:-[

64C is definitely too hot... and from what you post my guess it's only idle temp too... so I think there might be some problem with your cooling...

check that your heatsink and fan are installed properly (ie. heatsink touches the face of the processor without crushing it). And don't overclock for now, put it back to original settings...

About the voltage thing... I have Asus A7V also and PC probe installed... even though I have my voltage configured in BIOS to be 1.80V (and it shows that voltage in the BIOS hardware monitor too), PC probe shows 1.85V... so I wouldnt worry about it...

But your cooling is a big concern... No CPU should run over 60C...
