Can't network WinXP Home with WinXP Pro

This is weird... a friend of mine has two computers, one with WinXP Home Edition and another one with WinXP Pro. They are in the same workgroup, same subnet and both share internet access through a router. I can access the WinXP HOME pc from the WinXP Pro pc, browse shares and so on, but I CAN'T browse the WinXP Pro pc from the WinXP Home pc. I get an error saying:

\\PC1 is not accesible. You might not have permission to use this network recource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission.
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested login type at this computer

As WinXP Home uses Simple File Sharing, it is algo enabled in the WinXP Pro box. What the hell is wrong with the setup?

I had the same prob - with Home on the laptop and Pro on the main PC.
Don't ask me me how my IT director son got it to work, but he did.
Thing is - it was not easy - even for him.

Recently I cleaned off the laptop and loaded Pro - so somewhere in the future I plan to try again - myself - with Pro on both ends.

Hope you get some good pointers here.
