Can't make external TFT monitor my main display

Hello,

I attached a TFT monitor to my laptop, my OS is XP and I would like to make this TFT monitor my main display.

How do I do that?

pseudo-bump and clarification:

I want the taskbar and desktop icons to be on the TFT, I also want applications to open on the TFT so that i can slide a window over to the laptop LCD when/if I need to.

As it is now the LCD is the main screen where everything is happening and the TFT is just an extended bit of my desktop.

Right now, if I right lick on the TFT desktop area and select 'properties' the properties window is opening on the LCD.
