I can't seem to loosen the bolt and nut and I've even dented the nut from turning too hard.. There was a bunch of acid build up on it before but I sprayed some cleaner on it so that went away. Any tips on how to get it loose?

hit it with a hammer

Are you using the right wrench size? I don't know how you could dent the nut with a wrench...

well it is the right size but I just can't fit it all the way in because the cyclinder part that goes around the terminal is too close to the nut. I can only fit it half way in and when I turn it'll slip and cause the metal to chip and now the nut is all messed up!

use the crecent end?

Vice grips if that fails. I love vice grips. Just lock them on really tightly and apply hammer sparingly if you can't break it loose by hand.

I took my car to a shop and asked them to loosen it
If you find the right shops theyll be glad to help

Like today I need to get a screw out of my friends iPod nano so I went to 3 different jewelers and the the last one was great help!

PB Blaster

Like I said already..... It works wonders.

Use vice grips if it will not come off with a wrench.

Agree on both counts. PB Blaster is great.

The batteries on my F250 were neglected for some time, I ended up using a Dremel to cut the bolts off and replacing them.

It looks prettiful now :)
