Can't login to Windows Update!

I tried to Login to Windows Update and all I get is a blank page, not a page not available message. The computer upstairs has no problem connecting and getting updates. Any ides?

Sounds like an Active-X problem. Check the security settings in IE.

You also might try deleting (safer to just cut & paste somewhere else) everything out of your windows update directory.. then revist the page. I remember reading something to the effect if windows update isn't working that this is a possible solution.. I found it on MS's technet site..

The computer upstairs has the exact same patches and security settings and it worked. I reset everything to the default settings and it still didn't work, and I moved the windows update folder as well. Anymore suggestions?

Might try running Disk Cleanup and cleaning out your Temporary Internet Files also.

My temp internet files are emptied when my browser closes, and my temp dir is emptied every boot. I have done a scandisk, regclean, and defrag. Anyone else with an informed opinion.

i just went there and it said i couldn't log in...so i clicked try again and i got in...

Thx Hobzilla, there was a link there about just seeing a blank screen like I described. V-basic scripting is needed for Win Update. I went and downloaded the lates Vb scripting and everything works now.
