Can't log into Server 2003

I have a Windows 2003 DC server that I am unable to log into. My client computers can still access their shared files and folders, but sitting at the server, I can not log in. I get a wrong password message. I can get to the login screen only. The domain pull down menu only showed the domain listed (or it may have been only the machine name). Currently it is stuck at the "Applying comptuer settings" screen and it won't get pass that screen. I've tried Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Directory Service Restore Mode, Nomal Debugging, and Last Known Good configuration.

This started after I restarted the computer after I the mouse wouldn't work on my KVM switch. At one point I did get access via Directory Service Restore Mode. I reset my local admin password and tried to restart the computer, but I still wasn't able to get in.

Any ideas????

Is there another DC you can log onto?

Is the 'administrator' account the LOCAL or DOMAIN administrator account?

I think if only the domain is listed on the drop down, there is no LOCAL account.

Try (from another machine) opening computer management and connecting to this DC and resetting the local admin account password (if there is a local one) and using RDP to sign into the machine with this account.
If there isnt a local account, can you sign onto another machine in the domain with the domain admin account and password?
(maybe check the 'lockoutstatus' tool from MS)
