Can't log into Anand Tech using firefox.

Had my hard drive go out to lunch, and after new Windows XP install, I suddenly cannot log into this forum using firefox 6.02. It has to be something unique to V- bulliten and firefox, because I have no problem logging into other forums. I likewise have no problem logging into anandtech using IE8, but with firefox I simply am refused entry.

I can see the andandtech log in screen using firefox, I type my user name of Lemon Law, and password of ********, check remember me, and then log in, and all I get is a little delay, and I am back to the same blank log in screen again without an error message of any kind. I can go into firefox tools, options, and then select the privacy tab, my anandtech user name and password shows correct. I can enable all cookies from Anandtech, and still no go.

So please Anandtech, need some help here.

Not sure what you mean by clear everything, but no, reistall is unacceptable to me. The issue is and remains, why is anand tech the lone ranger forum I am unable to log onto to?

In short, what is wrong with Anand tech?

firefox gives me no issues logging into this site. 😕

Nothing is wrong with AnandTech; something is wrong with your browser.

Tools -> Clear Recent History -> Cookies, and Active Logins

This isn't Anandtech's problem, it is yours. If a "reistall" is unacceptable, then just use IE.

Yee haw, problem finally solved.

I decided to go into firefox, delete my password to anand tech forums, delete my saved password to anandtech forums. And then simply repeat the process of bookmarking andandtech forums, and then relogging in with my password. This time it worked first pop out of the box.

Why it screwed up the first time is one of life's little mysteries. To err is human, to really screw things up takes a computer.
