Have any of you encountered similar issues?
I heard of several cases yesterday where people couldn't load most web sites, but they were able to load *some* specific web sites (like facebook.com). This affected *all* devices on the home network, even tablets and smartphones.
Ping comcast.com from a LAN device and it resolves a seemingly-valid IP, but can't load that web site.
Bypass the router and everything works great.
One person had a Cisco Valet model M10 router. Another had a model M20. 3 other cases I didn't deal with personally and can't confirm what router the affected homes had.
I'm convinced this was due to some kind of cloud service / feature of the router that was malfunctioning on the remote end. It wouldn't be the first time (newer Belkin routers, late last year). I haven't heard any reports of this issue today (yet).
