Can't load drivers for ethernet on Compact Presario f500 (RESOLVED)

Okay I have a little problem here. My friend has a Compaq Presario F500 that had Vista home basic on it. Now it was slow as all get out since it's running a AMD Turion 64 processor and half a gig of RAM.

She wanted me to put Windows XP Pro which I did. After wiping the drive and doing a clean install of XP Pro I needed to install drivers. The thing is what drivers. I have no access to the internet and I have been going to the HP site and putting all the drivers for this model on her system via USB because it still works but none are the correct drivers.

My device driver has ? marks for all the below
Audio device
Modem device
Network controller
USB controller
Unknown device
Video controller

I do know it is using Nvidia graphics. I thought then that I needed to put forceware on it but which one. I installed 630a but it didn't do the job.

I tried Bel arc to see what was in the system and it didn't give me barely any information. I really need to find out how to get the drivers on this machine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's odd as I have installed XP pro on a laptop before and when I hooked up the Ethernet cable it noticed the connection right away. It's as if the XP drivers on the XP disk are not the ones needed by the hardware and I have no way of knowing what those drivers are. This sucks.

Some computer models simply do not have drivers for XP. That may be the case here.

Well I got lucky and found several sites about people having the same problems when trying to downgrade. I got the proper drivers and everything is running peachy. I can now enjoy the rest of my Saturday. Thanks.
