Can't Install XP After Installing Fedora

I have had Fedora on my old Dell laptop for a couple months now. Other day, for various reasons, I needed to reinstall XP on it. But when I booted up with the XP disc in, nothing happens after it says Setup is inspecting your hardware configuration.

Anyone have any clues as to what I can try to get past this? It will see the XP CD and try to install from it, but the system will just hang and give me nothing but a blank screen.

I'm no expert but from my limited experience XP needs to be installed first if you want to dual boot.

This shouldn't have anything to do with Fedora. I've had many issues in the past where I couldn't install Windows XP on my computer. It sometimes would freeze at "Setup is starting Windows" when I try to boot up Windows XP. This could have to do with some hardware connected to your pc (somewhat doubt it) or a buggy acpi or faulty ram. Not really sure what this could be exactly.
