Can't install Sun Java

I successfully downloaded the latest version of the sun java console, but when I try to verify the installation from the link on Sun's site, it is still telling me that I have java runtime version 1.1.4 from Microsoft.

I do not know what I doing wrong. Has anybody had this problem before?
