Can't install OS on New HD

Hi, yesterday I bought a new hard disk (WD320AVJS) since my previous hd was damaged and it was crashing all the time. when I try to install win 7 or 8 after loading windows files I get this error:
kernel is missing or corrupt
I've also tried to install win Xp and I get BSOD after loading windows files and I was even unable to install Ubuntu, an error occurs during copying system files. but I'm also unable to install OS on my previous HD, I thought there is a problem with my last BIOS update so I installed an older version of BIOS but the problem still exist.
CPU : i3 2120
Board: P8Z77-V PRO
Ram: 2GB Kingston x 4 (KVR1333D3N9/2G)
HD: Western Digital WD320AVJS

Have you made any other hardware changed to the machine? If not, is sounds like a bad stick of RAM. Your old hard drive may not be at fault here.

Since you have 4 sticks, you can try upping the RAM voltage first. If that doesn't help, you may need to run one stick at a time to figure out which one is at fault.

I totally agree

the only changes I made was to remove my external and another internal hard drives and I didn't touch any of rams. I have ran memory test+ on all of the rams by the time I build the PC since I had lots of BSOD on my previous HD and I'm sure it was the HD because I've tested The drive on another PC and also BSOD mostly was happening by the time I was copying something or I was using files on that HD. Anyway I'll test it again if you think it's the fault and thanks for responding to my thread.
