Can't install Nvidia 5.32 drivers on Win2k

Hello, when I try to update the display drivers according to the directions in the readme file, WIn2k simply states that a suitable driver is already installed for that device." and it won't install the new drivers.

Anyone know what is happening?
 
You are trying to update the drivers. Try unistalling the current drivers and then install the new ones and see what happens!
 
Yeah, don't follow that readme file. uninstall the current driver, and set it to Standard VGA display, and then install the new driver.
 
Actually, I think I got it without uninstalling the current drivers first....

All I did was delete the oem0.inf file in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers (I think that's where it was, don't remember for certain). After that, Win2k would not insist on keeping the old drivers and it would install the new one without a hitch.

All seems fine so far!
