Switched out the motherboard and CPU from 8rda+ Nforce2 to a Soltek K8AN2E NForce 3. Everything else went smoothly since I followed the Anandtech FAQs. However, the network controller card failed to install. It would say that the device was already in use as a service name or service display name.
Now, it doesn't even show up in the Device Manager with a yellow mark. Instead, I have to manually use the search for hardware button, then when it goes to install the drivers, it finds the proper ones (just downloaded from NVidia's website) but then it says that it failed to find the necessary info in the INF file. What the hell?
Is there any thing else I can try to delete from the registry to make windows start a fresh look at installing the networking controller since everything else is working fine? I don't want to wipe the hard drive if I can avoid it.
