Can't install Macromedia Flash Player

As the subject says. WTF! I have been trying to get newly installed FF v.1.5.0.1 to use Flash Player. I uninstalled Flash Player through Add/Remove programs, but evidently had a bad uninstall. I've gone through the entire computer and deleted all Flash files, then went through the registry and deleted all Flash Player entries. Now when I download Flash Player from Macromedia and attempt to install it, I just get a quick box on the desktop for a split second. It does put some files in my temp folder, and one is "Setup". However clicking on Setup or the other files does nothing. Haven't had a problem like this in so long I'm stuck, and hope someone can provide help/guidance. Thanks.

well seeing as you said u deleted from registar, did u delete something else by mistake or was that flash registry was somehow connected to Installshield wizard?

All is OK. I didn't want to, but I used Sys Restore and got Flashplayer back, and went back to an old version of FF. The new v1.5.0.1 is buggy. Had to reinstall a few programs I lost, but no big deal, I guess. Thanks.
