Your link doesn't work for me, so I don't know what error message or behavior you're seeing.

2. how can I assign IRQ manually in WinXP? believe it or not.... I got 3 peripherals sharing the same IRQs!

Only 3? What's wrong with that? That IRQ sharing you're seeing in DM is more apparent than real. I've seen people refer others who are concerned about "IRQ sharing" under Windows XP to a FAQ around here somewhere. Short answer would be that it's supposed to work that way, and you probably won't improve matters by changing it. But, if you really want to do this, you need to change your HAL. There are supposed to be ways of doing this without performing a full, clean reinstallation, but I'm a stickler so I can't vouch for any of them. I would do a clean installation of the OS and hit F5 for a choice of hardware abstraction layers at the point in the setup procedure where you see the message about hitting F6 to install special drivers.
