I got DiabloII for Christmas and can't install it. I stick the CD in and it tries to run the install program but it never actually runs. I can explore the CD (right click on the CD icon in My Computer and click explore) and try to run the install program, but again it won't install. I read that thing that was in the Diablo II box about some Kenwood CDROM drives needing special drivers to run the program. My drive isn't a Kenwood though, it's a Digital Research Technology. I searched their website for a driver, but couldn't find one for my drive (the drive is a 45x that came in a 40x box). All the drivers on their website say they're only for DOS/Win3. Any ideas?
I also have a problem with sounds in games. In tribes, when another teammate talks, the sound is really choppy, but all the other sounds are fine. And in The Sims, whenever the Sims talk, or when music is played, it's also real choppy. Sound isn't choppy anywhere except games. Any ideas?
PS-
The sound card is a Diamond Multimedia Monster MX300, and my speakers are Altec Lansing speakers w/4satellite speakers and one subwoofer (don't know the product number or anything like that though). Any information you can provide would be appreciated.
