Running Win7 SP1 64bits.. and recently after building my new machine I am facing a weird issue where I cannot install any software from Daemon OR CD/DVD.

What I get Error is: Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.
Error 5. Access is denied.

To solve this every time, I have to take ownership by doing the following:

Please inform how can I catch which software is actually creating this problem OR how to fix this permanently.

Specs:
Asus Z97 Deluxe Mobo
Intel 4970K CPU

That is a very odd problem, in that is also affects CDs and DVDs, if I understand you correctly.

If you uninstall Daemon, does the problem go away?

When you installed, did you happen to install on a hard drive or SSD which had a pre-existing Windows partition (i.e. say, from a prior Windows install)? If so, it might be a permissions issue from the prior Windows partition.

The easiest way to fix it in that instance would be to wipe the partition, repartition, and reinstall.

I have Finally solved the problem. Here is the procedure below for anybody facing similar issue in the future:

Go to C: \users\username\appdata\local
Temp folder and then right click on it
Click properties -> Security tab
Click on everyone and then edit
Tick full control

The above should solve this issue.

Glad you were able to fix it, just not sure what caused it in the first place, nor why a particular user's temp folder should allow Full control. None of mine have an Everyone group by default.
