Can't import Firefox bookmarks into IE7/Vista?

I tried with IE7 to import my Firefox bookmarks, and it steps through like it should, but then on the last click, every time I get an error that it can't import them. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a workaround? Thanks!

export your firefox bookmarks first then try again

Still no dice. I tried from both Firefox and Safari.

Exporting appeared to just create the same bookmark file that I had. Was it supposed to be different?

well you COULD take the HTML firefox bookmark file (IIRC it uses a plain html links file that can be viewed directly) and set it to your homepage.

Well, I found a bookmark converter program at download.com and it did the trick. Just curious as to why the built-in utility in IE didn't work. Thanks.
