I have a palm III and im running win2000.
I installed the software and tried to transfer some files from my palm, but it couldnt connect to my pc.
I know that the palm and cradle work because i use it on my car daily as a logging tool.
I tried switching com ports but that didnt help, i tried running it on win98 but that didnt work. And i even tried it at a friends computer and it still didnt work
Couple months ago it worked like a charm, but that was before i formatted my hard drive and changed the batteries in the palm.
Are there any settings i should set on the palm to hotsync? Im stumped.

is your cradle usb or serial? I had a similar problem with my palm V b/c my cradle is serial, and I had to select Local Serial by right clicking on the hotsync icon in the system tray. I think it was set to local usb by default, so it could never detect my cradle. Took me hours to figure that one out :)

Yup the hotsync manager is running. And whether i press the hotsync button on the cradle or tap on hotsync on the palm nothing happens.
Im about to throw this thing against the wall, it doesnt make any sense :(

Can you find this option in the program itself? Instead of trying the Rmouse thing from the tray (mine is set up this way too) try opening the program and see if there is something in there. If not, there should be a Help and maybe there's something in there?
