cant host server with modem/router with linksys router

Summary so far:
Modem/Router ip is:192.168.1.1
Router ip is 192.168.2.1
my comp is is 192.168.2.100
Need to open ports 10480-10483 udp to host a swat gaming server
Does not work when forwarding the ports(or dmz) to the router and then my comptuter
Xp firewall disabled

You have forwarded the necessary ports from your Linksys router to your PC. The problem is that your DSL modem is also a router so you need to forward the same ports from your DSL modem/router to the 'external' IP address of your Linksys router and then from there to your PC.
 
Thanks Fardringle i never thought of that but a new questions anyone know how to login to a comtrend ct-507 modem/router
 
Update/Bumb: I figured out the info to login in to comtrend ct-507 modem/router and i forwared the port (10480-10483) to the router ip (192.168.2.1) and then from the router to the my ip (192.168.2.100). But still i am unable to host but at least now i can connect directly to the modem, switch it to dmz, and it will let me host. So why is it not working with the router. Also i tried contacting linksys but they were clueless
