Ok, so my friend and I are trying to do an Arranged Team on Warcraft 3, but whenever we try, we click accept and it just stays there, it won't actually allow us to join the team. From what I can tell it is something to do with the ports, but i don't know how to fix it. I'm on a wireless connection on my MacBook Pro, but I'm assuming something has to be done on my main connection, which is through my PC. What do I do?? This is incredibly annoying, i've never been able to host games on my PC either.

How you forward the ports will depend on the router, try portforward.com. There are also some problematic gateways (2-in-1 router/modem combo) out there that are typically provided by the ISP and don't allow access to the NAT settings, such as the Netgear CG814WG. If you have one of these devices your best bet is to just to purchase your own modem and router.

They have concise, easy to understand, step by step instructions on portforward.com

The same instructions will let you host custom games as well, like DOTA or tower defenses.
