The chip info is

IQYHA 0348SPMW

I flashed to the latest bios on epox (10/25/02)

Showed up as unknown cpu.

Is there anyway to have it show up at the correct multiplier?

KT333

I select 13 and it treats it like 12.5x. past that, it would give incorrect readings.

maybe your chip is locked ?
might try the wire trick or something

with a newer xp2100+ i got similar results as you on a kt133a board
good luck

try updating your bios

Hey Imaginer, it's normal for your mobile chip to show up as "unknown" since you're running it in a desktop system. You may want to consider getting a newer mobo with the nforce2 chipset. I highly recommend the DFI Ultra Infinity A+ which is what I'm using with my mobile 2400+ that I got two days ago. Good luck! :)

I can't hit those high multipliers on my Epox 8kha+. I can only get to 12.5x. I read that the lower multiples are supposed to map to the higher ones but I tried the lower multipliers and only got low multipliers. I now use crystalCPuID and that lets me reach a multiplier of 15x but I can't get anything higher even though crystalCPuID list higher settings.

I have hit the 16x multiplier by the wire mod. That is the only way to get the multiplier set correctly (which btw is a pain in the ***) I have managed 2.65 GHz with the 166 fsb for about 5 minutes before Windows restarted. Voltage is at 1.85 at that setting.

I wonder if it is safe enough to boost the voltage even more? Temp is 40C

If you aren't willing to change boards, stop complaining about the overclock you're getting!
