Hey!

I am wondering... I have Celeron 566 which I overclocked to 850 using 1.6 volts.
Today I bought a pc133 Micron memory and decided to go further...
Weird thing is even with higher voltages, it doesnt go any higher than 875Mhz...
I thought I had a good chance to go higher since I only needed 1.6 volts to go 850Mhz...
Am I wrong? What am I doing wrong?

I have Alpha 66PEP heatsink with Delta 38cfm fan... I think my cooling is pretty good...
What could be wrong????

i am running at 875 with my chrome orb at 1.75v, it shouldn;t be any problem for you to run any higher than 875.
I have to stop at 875 cause my max voltage is 1.75, if i have higher max voltage i think i could run to 112FSB.

My celeron is workig fine at 875Mhz using 1.65 volts... Runing fine...
But the problem is it doesn't even boot up anything higher than 875Mhz...
Temperature seems OK to me... 21'C at idle...
What is wrong with mine???

And you're complaining? Lately, they have been really tough. I've had many that would make 850, but no more. You may have reached the limits of the L2. Try disabling it in the bios then go higher. If it will, that's the problem.

Just one question...
If I disable L@, wouldn't that slow down the system? I mean the performance...

And I am happy with what I have but just wondering why it wouldn't go higher even with more voltage...
That's all...

Thanks~

The only reason to disable the L2 is to find out if that is what's holding you back. If it will run higher MHz with it disabled, then you will know if that is what is holding your CPU back. It's not that you can do anything about it, as it's in the cpu die, but at least you'll know. No, I was not saying leave it that way, as it will decrease performance. I used to love those guys that would brag about having their 300a's at 504, then find out they had disabled the L2 to get there. They were getting worse performance than if they'd just gone 450 with it enabled. :)
