Can't get Windows 98 SE to install

I am trying to install win98 on an old ASUS motherboard and when it gets to copying files needed for windows setup, it hangs. It then returns a PACKED FILE IS CORRUPT error. Has anyone ever seen this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A dirty CD can give read errors. Take it out and give it a clean wipe.
