Cant get Web based remote desktop to work for XP.

I am trying to set up WEB BASED remote desktop for winxp.

I followed the instructions here and everything works when I am on the LAN.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/northrup_03may16.mspx

I am behind a linksys WRT54G router with expanded functionality in the firmware.

I have ports 1-6000 forwarded to a winxp machine. This includes the port of the IIS web server and the RAS port.

On my lan, it works perfectly. EXTERNAL to the lan the web site connects, but when you type the "server" name and click connect, then it will time out.

Any suggestions?

What about if you type the internal IP address of the server as opposed to the hostname?

Jrock you rock!

LAN IP!!! I hadn't tried that since I messed with the confiuration of the router the first few times. Now it seems to be working, I have to test off site myself to verify.
