Cant get WD HD detected under IDE3 or 4 with the kt7a-raid...

ok...well i have this WD 13 gig 5400 RPM HD that works well..only it doesnt like to slaved and it wont show up in win2k as a drive when in ide3 or 4......now when the highpoint bios loads up...the HD is detected...but there is no drive in the OS....also....I cant use my Primary HD (maxtor 27 gig ata66 7200 rpm) in the IDE 3 or 4....win2k just gives me an Inaccesible Boot Device error.......Do I have to reformat the HD to boot or to be read from the highpoint ide's? They both show up in the highpoint bios everytime....hmm...anyhelp would be great. Currently I have my primary HD on IDE 1 and my plextor 32x12x10x on IDE 2....and my secondary HD on IDE 3.....win2k wont show the secondary though.

Try this:
Boot from a floppy with fdisk on it (ie Win98 startup disk). Start fdisk and use options 4 and 5 to check your hard drives. See if the ones on the raid controller can be seen and if they have thier partitions. It's a place to start.
