Can't get Vista to install on two separate machines

Tried a dual-boot at first with my main machine, installing Vista to a second hard drive. The installer gives me a BSOD with a "machine check" error. Can't troubleshoot what won't install.

So, I tried it on my wife's machine, which isn't being used anymore. It's a Sempron 2600+ with very little hardware. It installed fine, but on the first boot, it gets going, then BSODs with a page fault error and reboots. Happens every time. Safe mode won't even load...gets BSOD there too.

Any help on either of these? I've pretty much abandoned thinking about it on my main machine until RC1 comes out, but I'd like to try the beta on my spare computer if I can get past the BSOD.

Well, after a few more restarts, I got it to finish installing and load on the spare machine. Unfortunately, it doesn't have enough graphics power to run the Aero interface. I'm a little underwhelmed at the stock interface. I didn't play with it much, but I do really like the newer file browsing through folders and such. Very nice. When the rest of my computer stuff gets here, I'll have my Radeon which I should be able to swap in the spare machine. Right now the Vista box is running with a GeForce 3 ti 200. :)
