Hey I'm trying to use a promise fasttrack100 tx2 to add just one ide storage drive to the system; optical drives are taking up the only ide port on the motherboard (kn9 sli).

I've looked online and found that the windows server 2003 drivers work for vista so I installed those and everything looks fine in device manager.

If I define a 1 drive span array in the bios for the card before windows boots, it will just go to a black screen and nothing happens afterwards. If I don't define anything, the drive doesn't show up in windows.

I really just want a JBOD setting but I can't find it on the controller card.

Vista boots from a SATA port btw..

thanks
