Trying to get the VGA to work on my 2001FP and I cant get it to work at all. My other 2001FP works with VGA, but this one doesnt. It works just fine with VGA, but when I try to switch it over to VGA, I get no signal... I even tried swapping the cables with no luck.

Any ideas?

what vid card do you have? are the cables in tightly? do you have two monitors connected? are you using a DVI to VGA adapter? Why are you using VGA in the first place?

here is my setup

http://www.chadwickcmeyer.com/pics/Desk.JPG

I have my main computer attached to all three monitors via DVI. My backup computer is attached to the Dell 2001FP on the right via VGA. I cant get it to work.

Right now I have everything running just fine on my dell 2001FP on the left. Looks like I have to swap the monitors unless I can come up with a solution.

No adapters used. Im running it off of a geforce 2 card.

I'm assuming the bolded 'VGA' was meant to say 'DVI' (otherwise I'm utterly confused).

Are you switching the input via the input button (I'm sure the 2001fp has it just like the 2005fpw). Have you tried the same cable that the other one worked with? Are you trying it on the same video card, on the same computer?

As Crescent13 says, why are you using VGA in the first place, or if VGA doesn't work on one card, why not use it as the DVI card and the other one as VGA?
