can't get to forums when norton fire wall is on

i tried e mailing an admin a screen shot but it was denied

i have to turn my firewall off in order to view the forums

There has to be a way to tell it AT is OK.
Also, that is a pretty common error, are you sure it's the firewall?

yeah, i can't get to the forums when its on, so when i shut it off its fine

and norton is really screwy, it seems i have to jump through hoops to configure anything

i dond't even know where to start looking for trusted URL's

and norton personal firewall 2004

i bought them in a pack

That error is on the forum side, most likely the fw is blocking part of the url or cookie that the forum code is not expecting to be missing (it should be erroring out more gracefully, Jason...). I'm running the FW here and not seeing it, try just turning off one thing at a time (like ad blocking) and see if you can narrow it down...

ok i messed with the privacy control and now let the site see my browser info, it seems to have fixed it

I don't think with any certainty that is it, but that has been an issue in the past that was addressed.
