Can't get to boot with 8GB of memory

Decided to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB of memory and am having the hardest time getting the system to boot. I've tried messing with the voltages and setting the DIMMs timings manually.

I've set DIMMs to 9-9-9-24 with 2T command timing.

I've also tried upping the DRAM voltage all the way up to 1.60V and also changing the CPU NB VID control to 1.35V. I've been able to get it to boot sporadically with different voltage combinations and it will either freeze up shortly or not boot during a cold-start.

Should I give up and just get a 2x4GB pack?

Are you sure all the four stick are good?

Might want to try them one by one to find out if one is defective. Do the new stick work by themselves?

Do you have 4 X 2GB of the GSKILL chips you mentioned above or are you mix and matching?

DDR3 spec at those timings is 1.5V which is what your chips are listed as.

Like Philgag says try them one by one and found out what combination fails.

Have you looked at the Gigabyte RVL memory list for that motherboard?
