hello!

I just purchased another 1gb of RAM (Kingston ValueRAM 1GB PC3200 DDR CAS 3). I currently have 2 sticks of 512mb ( CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail) on a chaintech vnf3-250. In any case, whenever I put in the third stick (either of one of those) in to whichever slot, the computer won't boot up.

At the black screen it says the total memory (2gb) but then it stalls and ends up with :

"Memory frequency: "

Any idea how to make all 3 sticks work?

Thanks in advance

Corsair is normally rated at 2.5-3-3-8, while ValueRAM is 3-3-3-8. Try manually set the timing to 3-3-3-8-2T in BIOS. It is possible that the Corsair doesn't like to run at the slower speed.

Alot of Athlon 64 motherboards don't like running with 3 sticks of RAM. So, if you've got an Athlon 64, you might be out of luck. If it's going to work, though, it will only work with the 1 GB stick in slot #1 (usually the slot closest to the processor, but not always).
