Can't get Test or Test & Burn option in Nero 5.58

I recently upgraded Nero 5.5 with the upgrade patch to 5.58 that I d/led from NERO's site. However, now when I go to copy a CD, I can not select the 'Test' or 'Test and Burn" options. Any ideas on how I can re-enable those selections? When I first installed Nero 5.5 which came with the drive (a Mitsumi 32X 480ATE CD-RW drive), it was available, but then I downloaded and installed an update to 5.58 and now I can not select those options. Do you think this came from installing the update? Any ideas as to how to re-enable these options? Should I just re-install the original 5.5 that came with the burner? Are there any substantive improvements in 5.58 that are not in 5.5?

I am running XP on a P4 1.8 GHZ with 256Meg RDRAM and a Mitsumi 32X RW drive.
