Can't get SVCD to work in WinDVD

I know the SVCD's work cause i've watched a few on my Standalone Apex DVD-Player but i cant get them to work in WinDVD, any suggestions? VCDhelp said something about a SCSI1HLP.vxd but i dont even have that file

Using Windows 2000 Pro

I am not an expert on this stuff ...but I have heard that a program called PowerVCR will play SVCD's on the PC. Also I think you can double-click the file, choose open with, select WMP and it should play it as well.

You play the .dat file in the mpegav folder or something like that. I play them through Sasami2k. Don't know for sure what else would play them or why you'd use anything but Sasami.

I usually play them on my standalone but I have no problem using WinDVD. What do you mean exactly by "not playing"? Do you get an error? I'm assuming that this is WinDVD 3.
