Hey hey everyone!
Part of my job is to 'refresh' or 'migrate' peeps laptops to a supported version. We've begun using RHEL 7.5 for a couple months.
I've been getting requests to migrate folks from RHEL 6.9 to 7.5. As far as I know, there is no easy upgrade path. More likely, a total rebuild is required
Anyhow, I used to be able to
-Slave out HD to my own RHEL lappy
-Enter the LUKS pwd when prompted
-Go to a terminal and type in 'sudo vgchange' followed by 'sudo vgchange -a y' in order to backup peeps data prior to rebuilding
But that no longer seems to work
Is it simply a problem between RHEL 6 and 7? I had talked with someone and they suggested using the 'chown' command, but I'm not entirely sure how to do that
Thx for listening!
Blah-Toe
