I used to be able to have my headphones and speakers play simultaneously, which i should be able to do with my Audigy 2 ZS. Now i can't get it to work though, i can either get only my headphones or only my speakers to work at the same time. I like to be able to switch quickly, rather then having to go under my desk, turn my case around and unplug my headphones and put the speaker plug in it's place. Why would it work before and not now? It's hard to explain, but what could be the cause? I have "mute speakers when using headphones" unchecked, so that's not the prob. BTW, where's the audio forum? :p - Thanks.

How do have them both hooked up? Are they connected to a splitter or are both connected to different ports on the back of the PC?

Well, I would first make sure that you have them both plugged into speaker ports and not the mic or line-in ports. I'm hoping you've done this already, sooooo...

Depending on what sound card you are using, you may have a port for "front speakers" and "rear speakers" If that is the case, you will need to have both of them enabled to get sound from both ports.

I would first try dbl-clicking on volume control (hopefully in your systray) and Options->Properties. Check "Front" and "Rear" if they aren't enabled all ready. Make sure neither of them is muted.

If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel->Sound->Click Advanced and try setting your speaker config to "Quadriphonic Speakers"
