Can't get Serious Sam to work

Well the demo. I just d/led the offical demo and can't get it to run it keeps giving me a can't det display mode. Also something about can't find Opengl mode.

Suggestions? I am running a Geforce 2 GTS with 12.60 drivers.

Thanks

I think the fullversion is out for $20. Yeah they are unoffical right now. Would that be the problem? Everything else runs good. I tried 12.90's also.

Are you kidding? The game has been out for a couple of months now (kinda short but cheap - $20 MSRP; I got mine at BeastBuy the first day for $15).

I can't wait for the EXPANSION PACK.

BTW Max Payne is due by end of next month.

As to "Why" the demo won't run - could it be a corrupted d/l? Try reinstalling it.

80mb on a 56k come on LOL 🙂. Can't get cable or DSL as they ain't in my area yet but soon as my local cable company just installed digital cable 🙂 yippee.

Anyway naw it ain't a bad download as it reports this in the readme file but I can't seem to get it to work even after reading it. It says something about put desktop color in 16bit which I did and install the propper Opengl driver.

Buy the full version. If you like FPS you will love this game. It is my favorite of its genre.

Actually, I have no suggestions other that d/l it again (overnight - I have 56K too) and reinstall.

If it is a problem with OpenGl you might check out the website that tests OpenGl and updates it (forgot the link).

If you think this response is no help, just considere it a "bump" for better technical support. 🙂

Also, post your thread in Software and Games. The responses there tend to be slower but more thorough.
