I recently rebuilt my computer with an Athlon 64 3000+, Radeon 9800pro, 512mb of Giel pc3200, and a Chaintech VNF3-250. Everything has power when i turn it on i just do not get any response from the monitor. I also do not get any tones from the case speakers. Any common problems that i can fix?

Did you connect the 4 pin 12vdc power suppy connector. There are two power suppy connectors to connect to the motherboard. One is the standard 20pin molex and the other is a 4 pin molex which people tend to forget about. It was included for newer processors that need more power. The system will not boot up without this.

Just to note, the 4 pin power connector is located between the processor and the agp slot on your motherboard.

The 9800pro needs a power connecter too.

Did you try to step back alittle, If you are using the same OS, Remove your old card reboot and istall the r9800. Configure it. Now put in that new MB/CPU.

... windows has a cow when you do too much at once, try and remove a HD from a laptop and put in another, it will take like forever before you can do anything... keeps finding 'new hardware'.
