Hello everybody,

i've got some problems with the video-in software of my Radeon 64 VIVO:

Under Win98SE lite (without IE) the ATI MMC won't start at all - it says it can't register some services. Ok, I thought, this is one of the applications that require an installed IE.
So I installed IE 5.01 and now all the MMC components work fine except the video-in part. It doesn't appear in the ATI LaunchPad, and if I try to start it using the menu entry nothing happens.
I gave up, formatted my system partition and did a fresh Win98SE install (full), followed by the current VIA 4in1 drivers and the radeon software. Now I can start the video-in software, it displays it's splash screen and then crashes due to a "invalid page" in modules TVDS.DLL... :Q

I tried both Radeon drivers available from ATI (4.12.3056 - official supported - and 4.12.3063 - special purpose, unsupported, beta?) and use the latest VIA drivers 4.24. My Windows identifies itself as "Microsoft Windows 98 Zweite Ausgabe 4.10.2222 A"
Installing the ATI software at once (using ATI setup) the hardware wizard after the reboot searches for a file "bt829.cat", which should be in "precopy1.cab" on the Win98 CD - but it's nowhere on my Win98 copy. Did I get a pre-final OEM version or something like that or what?
If I do the installation in parts (using the different setups in the sub folders), the drivers first and then the MMC, the hardware wizard doesn't miss this file!? - Still, video-in crashes.

Does anybody have the same problems or - even better - a solution to this problem? (The video-in feature was one of the reasons I bought this card..)

So long,
Scorp
