Ok, here's the deal : I have an athlon tbird 900mhz on an a7v133

I can overclock up to 1080, and system is very stable and running at 43 degrees idle, and ±50 on load.

However, if I get over 1080mhz, windows wont boot, it can crash in a few different manner, either it says some files are corrupted or.. once windows start to load, the computer reboots by itslef, or I get some strange errors.

Wether I use multiplier only, or FSB only, or both at different levels, theres nothing to do, always errors. Also, increasing the vcore doesnt affect anything, the system is the same wether I am @1.75v or 1.85v

Also note my Tbird is an ABBA

Please tell me whats my problem if you know :\
Thx

Are you using jumpers for your settings?

Jumpers run much more stable on the Asus than the bios settings, especially for voltage settings.

sometimes when you oc a processor, it doesn't oc very well. NOt all processors that are 900mhz will reach speeds of 1200mhz. Each processor is different

The ABBA Cpu is More Than Likely Your Problem Most of the Athlons that make IT up to 1.2 Are AXIA. If you can find one you will be Gold At 1.2. If you are willing to spend a little more Look For a AYHJA Athlon They Have been Reported Of being Capable Of 1.7ghz On the Right Mobo's. Im Going to try And Find One soon. Wish me luck.

Oh And By The way WerewolfX is back :)

Ok.. hehe
Btw guys I dont want to reach 1.2ghz (but I still would love it) just 1100, or maybe a little bit.

What I want to know basically is, why the system si SOO stable at 1080mhz and wont even boot at 1100mhz :\

Oh and how do you call that when you perform a lot of CPU calculs during a lot of days... arg cant find the word.

And how do you that basically? I have 4 cases fan, should I put em off?
Is the goal of that.. to have high temperature during a long time, ah gawd tell me :p
