Anyone know if this memory should be able to clock higher always or if it's just my board (MSI NEO4 Plat /SLI limiting it with 2.85V as the max)?

Thanks

235-238 is pretty average for that RAM, although you should be able to do it at 3-3-3-7, and shouldn't need that much vdimm. Of course, YMMV.

You might try 3-4-3-8 that may get you past 240. Mine will get up to 300, but it takes 3-4-4-10 with 2.95v

I am running 2-2-2-5 at 233.5 right now (295x9.5 5/6 divider) with a 4000+ San Diego @ 2.8GHz

I will be reducing overvoltages as the system has tested stable.

I am going to try for 2825 GHz with a 235GHz ram clock...I couldnt do 2850 with 237.5 on the memory and 3-3-3-8 timings.

Yeah it must be a board issue, the more I think about it, it should easily do 240 at 3-3-3-8 with 2.85v. Hell mine will do 2-3-2-7 at 235mhz with 2.85v, but I do have the older rev. 2's with the TCCD chips. The newer stuff is TCC5 which is not as good.

Haha, sorry, alkemyst. I missed the "rev 2" in the title. If you have TCCD based Rev. 2, you shouldn't have any problems getting a minimum of 275 out of it. If it's TCC5-based, though, some top out around 245, though most will do slightly over 250. Since you're trying to see how fast it will go, you should be running it at 3-4-4-8, if not 3-4-4-10, and giving the max vdimm your board allows, unless you've got a DFI board-- TCCD doesn't need 3.2v;).
