Whenever I run my P3-650 at 866 (just change to 133MHz FSB) I start to have problems with my IDE devices. Temps all are low, MB and CPU- so it doesn't appear to be heat. Have you tried putting the pci clock to 1/4 divider?
I think there is some relationship between pci and ide devices. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I didn't see a setting in the BIOS that specifically stated 1/4, but I did see a setting to run 100FSB/133CPU. This ran like total crap (Async BLOWS). I couldn't stand to run this way long enough to see if the problem remained. Everything runs fine @ default 100FSB/100CPU

onboard IDE controllers are run via PCI bus, just as add-on controllers are.
